A leading regional housebuilder will make sure Bonfire Night goes off with a bang in Salisbury.

Persimmon Homes has signed up to sponsor the Rotary Club of Wilton and Salisbury’s fireworks event for the next three years.

Matt Paine, managing director for Persimmon Homes South Coast, said: “Whenever we start to develop a new homes site we look at how we can support local community initiatives.

“The Rotary Club plays a fantastic role in the area, organising events and raising funds for local projects, so we are delighted to support their annual fireworks display for the next three years.”

This year’s event takes place on Saturday 4th November at Southern Counties Livestock Market on Netherhampton Road. The gates open at 5.45pm with the fireworks display set for 7.45pm.

Alan Corkill, Chair of the Rotary Fireworks Organising Committee, added: “The fireworks display is one of our biggest events of the year, but we are only able to provide such a big show with the help of local businesses. We are very grateful to Persimmon Homes for their support.”

Earlybird tickets for the fireworks display are available online or from local outlets at £8 for adults and £4 for children aged 4-17, with one child admitted free per adult. Prices on the gate will be £10 and £5. A free park and ride service will be offered from Wilton, Salisbury and Britford. For more information visit or
